The Requirements for Medical Testing of Microbial Nucleic Acids sets out the requirements intended to apply to tests used for the detection, characterisation and qualification of nucleic acids (deoxyribonucleic acid or DNA and ribonucleic acid or RNA) in medical pathology laboratories testing for microorganisms that can or may cause disease in humans.
